Port Washington Development Watch started as a Facebook Group designed to serve as a forum for all parties - residents, developers, elected representatives - to discuss the details of active development projects that affect our community. We understand that some projects will improve our community while others have the potential to harm it. There will be differences in opinion. But breaking down aspects of a project and discussing them helps us reach consensus, and puts us in a better position to argue our case with our representatives.
The Facebook Group is still the best place to get the latest information and discuss projects. This website was built to centralize information, help coordinate community groups, and provide resources. It is also a handy link to give to people who need a summary of the issues.
PW Dev Watch was created by me (Andy Shaffer) to serve as a resource for the community, not to act as an independant group. I reserve the right to participate in the conversation but my opinions are my own and are not necessarily a reflection of the general concensus.
